About
Annual general ministers’ meetings of the Amish, 1862–1878. They exposed the split between the progressive Amish Mennonites and the Old Order Amish; the progressive side later formed district conferences (Indiana-Michigan, Western, and the Eastern Amish Mennonite Conference of 1893), which merged into the (Old) Mennonite Church. The Miller, Hochstetler, Stutzman and Yoder lines lived through this divide. Belief systems: Amish, Amish Mennonite, Mennonite Church.
