One of the first Amish congregations in America (from about 1739–40), on Northkill Creek below the Blue Mountains. Home of Jacob Hochstetler, Bishop Jacob Mast and Christian Miller Sr. Both the Hochstetler and Mast families were attacked here in the French and Indian War.
