Life and evidence
( Mast Family History, 1911, footnote to fam. 943)
“Elizabeth Yoder was the daughter of John Yoder and Barbara Reichenbach, who was the son of John Yoder and Magdalena Mast, who was the son of Barbara Yoder, whose husband died at sea coming to America.”
Her parents (found 2026-11-01)
Amos Fisher’s 1972 Rickenbach series in The Diary names her as a daughter of John Rickenbach (d. c.1790) and Ann of Caernarvon Township, Berks County, and granddaughter of the immigrant Henry Rickenbach (arr. 1740). Her husband John Yoder, “Preacher Yotter Hannes”, was born about 1754; they lived in Bedford (Somerset), Mifflin and Centre Counties, Pennsylvania, and he died in Wayne County, Ohio. (The Hertzler register’s Reichenbachs, from the 1733 Pink Mary immigrant John and Veronica, are a different family.)
